Washington Leisure Centre is a great place to get fit and have fun with a 25m pool and learner pool,
sports hall activities, Wellness Centre and a range of courses and classes.

The pool has something for everyone, with lanes for swimming, an exciting aquamania flume, aquafit classes, and learn to swim lessons for all ages and abilities. Currently, those aged 16 and under or aged 60 and over, can swim for free during recreational sessions with a valid Sunderland City Council Life Card. The sports hall is available for 5-a-side football, basketball, netball, badminton and table tennis. Racquet sports fans can also enjoy our squash courts.

There are Wellness exercise classes and a Wellness Centre to keep you toned and trim, or, if you're
looking for something a bit more relaxing, the sauna and steamroom are a great way to unwind.

Soft play and holiday activities are available to entertain the children or you can book a children's party at the centre.

Wellness Centre
Our Wellness Centres offer and ideal mix of easy to use, state of the art TechnoGym cardio vascular and resistance equipment including treadmills, cross trainers and cycles, as well as an excellent free weights area. The centre is suitable for all ages and abilities from 11 years upwards.
Wellness Exercise Classes
You can take part in a wide variety of Wellness exercise classes in one of our purpose built areas, including Studio Resistance, Legs, Bums & Tums, Circuits, Pilates and many more, which are suitable for all levels of fitness and ability.
