The Sainsbury's UK School Games is a multi-sport event (10 Olympic & Paralympic sports) for the most talented young people of school age in the country.
This year's event is being hosted by Sunderland, Gateshead and Newcastle and consists of ten sports and 1600 athletes from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Sunderland Silksworth Community Pool, Tennis & Wellness Centre will host Fencing and Table Tennis (both 3rd & 5th September) and Sunderland Aquatic Centre will host Swimming (4th - 5th September).
