Heritage Open Days is an annual event that celebrates England?s fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to buildings that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.
Sunderland is proud to have some of the regions heritage right on its doorstep and for four days only each venue is opening its doors to encourage people of all ages to step in and explore what?s on offer.
As part of the event themed activities will be held throughout participating venues and attractions.There will be plenty to see and do with guided tours, walks, talks, displays, exhibitions and related crafts organised to keep the whole family entertained.
