Sunderland has excellent swim, Wellness Centre and sports facilities, but some of us find it a bit tough to find the time and energy for exercise at this busy (and often cold!) time of year. That's why Sunderland Leisure Centres are offering a few incentives and great ideas to keep us active...

Caf swim

Enjoy a leisurely swim at Sunderland Aquatic Centre, followed by a hot drink and muffin of your choice in the newly opened caf for an all-in price of only 4, on any Saturday when Sunderland AFC first team play at home between now and the end of the season.

If 2009 is the year when you?re really going to make an effort to be more active then why not sign up to a membership package deal ? prices start from just 13.95 per month for an adult membership package?

Sunderland?s Wellness Centres have all the top equipment and, more importantly, really friendly and well-trained staff that will help you to use the equipment and develop an exercise programme that works for you ? even if you have never exercised before.

As part of your package you can also include swimming and Wellness exercise classes if that would work for you. To find out more pop into your local leisure centre, don?t be embarrassed and don?t be afraid, all the support you need is there to make 2009 the year for a new you!
